Bulgar Arrow Heads

Archery was one of the more important military technologies of the Bulgars, especially since the power of their military came from warriors on horseback. Like their ancestors, the Huns, the Bulgars had more than one type of arrowhead to equip their arrows with. Some arrows were fastened with slender arrowheads such that they would penetrate armor more readily. Some were fastened with heavier heads to cause maximum damage to an enemy through shattering bone and ripping through tissue more effectively. Other arrow heads were designed to carry signals across the battlefield. In total, arrows were used with multiple purposes through the support of mounted archers in combat.
